BEER TOUR

Accessible Beer Tour Munich – We would be happy to take you on an unforgettable and accessible beer tour with beer tasting and snacks through Munich! We accompany you to the most beautiful beer gardens and Bavarian restaurants in the city. Experience Bavarian cosiness, taste the delights of beer from various breweries and delicacies from Bavarian cuisine such as obatzter, knuckle of pork and white sausages.

Beer gardens have existed since the beginning of the 19th century. To be more precise, on January 4, 1812, King Maximilian I issued a decree that beer cellars in the Isar district around Munich were allowed to serve beer, but were not allowed to serve any food other than bread. The fact is, the city with the most beer gardens is and will always be Munich. Munich and beer gardens – they remain inseparable.

Augustiner Beergarden

One of the oldest, most beautiful and most traditional beer gardens in Munich is the Augustiner beer cellar on Arnulfstraße near the main train station. It is a place where you can recharge your batteries and really relax. For example under one of the more than 100 chestnuts. With a mug of Augustiner Edelstoff freshly tapped from a wooden barrel. Incidentally, the beer garden, which now has 5,000 seats, was first mentioned in the Munich city map of 1812.

Königlicher Hirschgarten Beergarden

The deer garden (yes you can watch real deer behind a fence!) can look back on a long history: In the summer of 1780, Elector Carl Theodor had a fenced-off “animal garden” laid out on the site and stocked it with a good hundred fallow and red deer. Just a few years later it was made accessible to the public and developed one of the most popular excursion destinations in Munich.

In the shade of countless chestnut trees and parasols you will find Munich’s largest beer garden: Around 8000 guests can be seated in the beer garden in the royal deer garden. There is no beer garden in all of Bavaria that has more seats. A highlight for young and old park visitors is the two-hectare enclosure with fallow deer and mouflon.

Waldwirtschaft Großhesselohe Beergarden

This is how the Bavarian imagines paradise. A homemade Obazda, hot delicacies from the grill, fresh pretzels and a cool beer from the wonderful Spaten beer. Welcome to a traditional beer garden. In the midst of ancient chestnut trees, in the semi-shade, you can enjoy what has made Bavaria world-famous. True comfort.

The legendary forestry in Großhesselohe has the character of an excursion. Jazz bands from Munich, Prague and Warsaw have been performing here for what feels like an eternity. An eternity ago was also the beer serving record, which has not been matched to this day: on Whitsunday 1900, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the dance pavilion, an incredible 123 hectoliters (12,300 liters) were sold. The tradition of serving even goes back to the 15th century.
