FARMERS MARKET

Wheelchair accessible Famers Market Munich – The Farmers Market “Viktualienmarkt” (the meaning of the old-fashioned word “victuals” is simply food) is one of the most famous sights in Munich. In 1807, the Munich city market was moved from Marienplatz to the site of the nearby Heiliggeist-Spital by decree of King Max I Joseph. Since then, the food market has been held every day except Sundays and public holidays.

♿ Accessible Stroll across Farmers Market

The variety of fruits, vegetables, bread, fish, meat, sausages, flowers and bouquets make the Viktualienmarkt with its more than 100 traders and the characteristic green-painted wooden stalls with the huge displays for housewives, cooks, gourmets but also for tourists a colorful and inspirational place to shop. The shady beer garden under chestnut trees also invites hungry and thirsty souls to a glass of beer and a hearty snack!

Take a walk with us through this traditional market and try cheese specialties, a glass of wine and freshly baked pretzels! Of course you can also do a beer tasting or a sausage tasting with us. Do you like Bratwurst roll, white sausages, German sausages, veal bratwurst, sausage salad, Bavarian meat loaf or pork knuckle with cabbage?

The Farmers market tour can be adapted to your individual needs. Can be combined with a beer tour, a city tour to the “Highlights of Munich” or a walking tour through the Old Town of Munich
