Day Trips Bavaria

We offer barrier-free day trips throughout Bavaria and City Sighteeing Tours in Munich all year round. Our wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV’s) and minibuses are equipped with a wheelchair ramp or lift and can carry up to two people in wheelchairs and five other passengers or up to eight passengers without wheelchairs.

Neuschwanstein Castle

There is hardly a building in the world that has been photographed as often as King Ludwig’s fairytale castle Neuschwanstein! It often served as a template for some fairy tale and Hollywood films. The enchantingly beautiful view of the castle, as King Ludwig called it, is a real treat.

Combine your excursion with a visit to the Wieskirche in Rococo style or Linderhof Palace, with a walk to the picturesque Marienbrücke, visit the Museum of the Bavarian Kings in Hohenschwangau, enjoy regional and seasonal delicacies in a historic atmosphere in the Neuschwanstein Castle Restaurant or drink a freshly tapped beer and eat a crispy pork knuckle from the grill with probably the most beautiful view in the Allgäu!

Good to know:

Neuschwanstein Castle: Lift dimensions: door width 0.85 m, depth 1.30 m; please check that your wheelchair does not exceed these dimensions! Only one wheelchair per hour inside the castle for fire safety reasons

Eagle’s Nest

Visit the Obersalzberg Documentation Center in the Bavarian Alps near Berchtesgaden. Drive along scenic roads and make your way to the Kehlsteinhaus by elevator on this full-day trip from Munich.

Herrenchiemsee Palace

Due to its size of almost 80 km2, Lake Chiemsee is also called the “Bavarian Sea”! You can then take a boat to Herreninsel, where the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace is located. The Bavarian King Ludwig II had this palace built in the 19th century based on the example of Versailles.

Combine your excursion with a unique boat trip on Lake Chiemsee with a visit to Herrenchiemsee Palace, its famous Hall of Mirrors and the imposing park, visit the Fraueninsel with its famous Benedictine monastery in Frauenwörth, enjoy traditional Bavarian cuisine in the Alter Wirt in Bernau, and have a leisurely meal Walk along the beach promenade or simply treat yourself to a break at the lido, in the beer garden or drink a sundowner at the Übersee beach bar!
